  • What would be the most ideal way of cropping a large high resolution image to get a scaled down version of a character's head in Photoshop? basically a character profile (circle and or square) seen used as portals.

    Would you be willing to provide the .psd of File:NoImage.png? If its not too much to ask, possible set inside as a new layer that I could mess with?

      What I do first is decide the exact size that I want the circle/square to be. For this example, I'll use 150x150. So I select the Rectangular Marquee Tool, and in the bar across the top, click the Style drop-down menu and choose "Fixed size". (To make a cirlce instead, right-click the Rectangular Marquee Tool and select Elliptical Marquee Tool.) This is where I'd enter 150 px for both the height and the width. Now, whenever I click anywhere on the image, the selection box (or circle) will be exactly 150x150.

      From there, I just resize the image (Image > Image Size...) and click with the marquee tool set to 150x150. NOTE: After clicking to create the selection box, you can move it around by clicking & holding inside the box and dragging it around. If the part of the image inside the selection box is still to big, I just keep resizing and recreating the selection box until it looks good. Then I just copy the selection (Ctrl+C), create a new file (Ctrl+N) and paste the selection (Ctrl+V).

      I don't have the original PSD, but I just recreated it (minus the cracks) and uploaded it to my Dropbox. The font is Republica Minor. For all images with cracks on the letters, I just drew them manually using the brush tool set to 1px diameter.

  • I just realized that the previous set up for gallery links on Template:Character Infobox generated red links and changed it but I do need a "No Gallery" Image based on before. working to clear out the red links from the wiki currently.

    • I assume you mean the same visual style as other images that contain words, so I just made File:NoGallery.png.

    • are you able to get the size increased to be about the same as File:Gallery.png?

      Since collision course is set to release in july and spotlights requires that I set up the mobile home page, any suggestions as to what could even be added? I'm lost as there isn't much room...

    • I uploaded a new version of File:NoGallery.png with the wide letters.

      That's referring to the curated main page for mobile devices, which is a relatively new feature. View the main page on your computer, and you'll see the "Edit Mobile Main Page" button next to the normal Edit button. For all the details and information, see Help:Curated Main Page.

  • I managed to find some css by Rappy4187 and got the header to go across completely but looks stacked. Could you resize the file to a height that does not have it cover up "Wiki Activity/Article titles"? Thanks and sorry for the last minute request, know your busy with liloandstitch.

    • I reduced the height of WikiHeader.jpg by 15 pixels so that it won't interfere with the page title and Activity module.

      To stop the stacked appearance, you'll need to delete the following CSS code from MediaWiki:Common.css.

      .WikiHeader {
          background-image: url("http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/iceage/images/7/78/WikiHeader.jpg");
      }
